My youngest turned three this past weekend, and we did up his birthday proper. He is just as affectionate as he is messy and foolish. You can see from the expression on his face that the slip-n-slide was a huge hit, as was tackling his brother. At the pool Sunday, his daddy showed him how to put his entire face in the water without inhaling water, and he spent the next hour doing it over and over again. I am quite certain he is the most adorable and charming three-year-old boy alive today. (You’re allowed to disagree, of course. But then you’ll be banished.)
